12 Days ~ Greek Islands

Join fellow sea and sun lovers for an intimate voyage of discovery to the time-honoured islands, small fishing ports and secluded bays of the Cyclades, not always accessible to the larger cruise ships. There is no rigid schedule here as you enjoy an informal atmosphere and genuine Greek hospitality on board. Your traditional wooden schooner features comfortable air conditioned cabins with private facilities and includes local beer, wine and soft drinks. No pool is necessary as you can swim right off the boat!

DAY 1 – TUE – DEPART USA
Overnight flight to Athens.

DAY 2 – WED – ATHENS AT LEISURE
You are met at the airport and transferred to your hotel where there is time to relax before a Welcome Drink.

DAY 3 – THU – ATHENS SIGHTSEEING
Your sightseeing tour this morning includes a visit to the Acropolis to admire the Parthenon, built to honour the goddess Athena. Then see the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch. (BB)

DAY 4 – FRI – CRUISING – SANTORINI
Board your traditional schooner and meet your crew and fellow passengers. Late afternoon set sail for Santorini. (BB,D)

DAY 5 – SAT – CRUISING – IOS
Morning arrival at Santorini where there is time to explore the capital, Thira. Maybe take an optional excursion to the villages and wineries. Late afternoon depart for Ios, where you can visit the winding alleyways of Ios Town. (BB,D)

DAY 6 – SUN – CRUISING – PAROS
Enjoy a swim stop in an enchanting bay of Paros island. Visit Paros Town and the quaint village of Naoussa. Later, show off your dancing skills during our famous Greek evening. (BB,D)

DAY 7 – MON – CRUISING – MYKONOS
Drop anchor to spend a full day on Mykonos, with its sandy beaches and white-washed windmills overlooking the harbour. Perhaps join an optional excursion to the archeological site at Delos? (BB,D)

DAY 8 – TUE – CRUISING – SYROS
After a morning swim stop around the sandy beaches of Syros, continue to the capital of the Cyclades, Ermoupoli. (BB,D)

DAY 9 – WED – CRUISING – KEA
Enjoy a swim stop and relax under the sun. In the afternoon dock at the charming island of Kea and visit the island’s capital. Enjoy the ‘Captain’s Dinner’ tonight. (BB,HD)

DAY 10 – THU – CRUISING – ATHENS
Arrive at Sounion for a swim beneath the clifftop Temple of Poseidon. Return along the Apollo coast to Athens for the night. (BB,D)

DAY 11 – FRI – ATHENS AT LEISURE
Disembark after breakfast where the rest of the day is at leisure. Perhaps visit the Temple of Apollo at Delphi?

DAY 12 – SAT – RETURN TO USA
Your tour ends with transfers to the airport. (BB)
