Royal Caribbean food is exciting, delicious, and diverse! Outstanding food is an important part of enjoying a much-needed vacation and is one of the most rewarding escapes that guests can expect onboard Royal Caribbean cruises. Royal Caribbean food means delicious ingredients, expert preparation, and countless dining options, and exploring the many menus and venues onboard is a mouthwatering adventure that food-lovers will find irresistible.

With Royal Caribbean’s innovative at-sea dining experience, you might discover your new favorite restaurant onboard one of the cruise line’s expansive ships. Royal Caribbean’s six classes of ships compose one of the most imaginative fleets in the world and feature a ton of dining choices – so many that you won’t be able to try everything in just one vacation!

Oasis Class

Onboard the upcoming Oasis of the Seas, scheduled for launch later this year, and the Allure of the Seas, coming in 2010, there are a plethora of dining facilities, many of which are completely new to Royal Caribbean. The Oasis Class ships feature 24 different restaurants, and 14 of these are fully included in the price of the vacation.

As the two largest cruise ships ever, the Oasis of the Seas and the Allure of the Seas offer specialty restaurants, casual cafés, main dining rooms, coffee and pastry venues, and more. A major highlight onboard will be 150 Central Park, one of the most sophisticated restaurants in the Royal Caribbean Fleet. 150 Central Park will be reservation-only with a flat $35 charge to cover the meal and gratuities. For lighthearted dining fun, guests will love The Cupcake Cupboard, where they’ll share laughs and sweet treats at á la carte prices. Giovanni’s Table Italian dining, Izumi Asian Cuisine, Park Café, and the Boardwalk Donut Shop bring an added level of diversity to these upcoming Royal Caribbean ships.

Freedom Class

Onboard Royal Caribbean’s Freedom Class ships, guests can dine at Chops Grille and Portofino, two of the cruise line’s most well-known specialty dining restaurants. Another nighttime favorite onboard the Freedom of the Seas, Independence of the Seas, and Liberty of the Seas is the Mystery Dinner Theater, where guests can enjoy an interactive mystery performance and a menu hosted by the Italian-inspired Portofino.

Wine has a special place onboard the Freedom Class ships, with Vini d’Italia and California Vineyards, which feature multi-course meals and pairings with some of the world’s finest wines from Italy and California. Two casual options that simply cannot be missed onboard the Freedom Class ships are Johnny Rockets, a 1950’s themed diner chain found in many major U.S. cities, and Ben and Jerry’s ice cream shop – both well-worth the additional nominal fee.

Innovative and exciting dining options continue to abound throughout the rest of the Royal Caribbean fleet, from Sorrento’s Pizza on the Sovereign Class with the mouthwatering Pizza Contadia to ‘Latte-tudes’ coffee bar exclusively on the Radiance Class serving Seattle’s Best brand of gourmet coffee. Right now, America’s Vacation Center guests can receive great prices onboard Royal Caribbean allowing them to enjoy even more of the outstanding onboard cuisine.
