Uniworld’s partner in China, Victoria Cruises, boasts the largest 5-star fleet on the Yangtze, with ships designed especially for river cruising in that region. With a high level of comfort and service, your Yangtze River cruise will be an unmatched experience of culture, luxury, and relaxation.
The Victoria Katarina carries 266 passengers on unforgettable Yangtze sailings in an atmosphere that is traveler-centric, destination-focused, and culturally-diverse.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the Victoria Katarina’s main first deck dining room. Breakfast and lunch are buffet-style with a mix of Western and Chinese favorites, prepared by skillful chefs. Dinner is a banquet-style feast, expertly crafted with only Chinese selections and a wide variety of meats, rice, and vegetables including cold and hot dishes.
The Victoria Katarina features 132 standard cabins, each measuring over 200 square feet including the balcony. Cabins include private bathrooms with bathtubs, satellite TV, telephones, and hair dryers upon request.
The Victoria Katarina has six Junior Suites at 327 square feet, six Deluxe Suites at 406 square feet, and two Shangri-La Suites measuring 646 square feet.
In the Yangtze Club, the ship’s main lounge, guests are privy to captivating scenery through floor-to-ceiling glass windows and informative commentary by way of the ship’s ‘river lecturer’. The lounge also provides the opportunity to relax, share a drink, and recount stories from the day with friends and family.
Often there will be local live performances of music or theater in the lounge, and during the day, the Victoria Katarina makes enrichment presentations available from Chinese calligraphy lessons to kite building and flying education.
There is no casino option onboard the Victoria Katarina.
Travelers onboard the Victoria Katarina will enjoy putting their health and well-being first in the ship’s fitness center or by taking brisk walks and jogs around deck five.
The Victoria Katarina features spa treatment rooms where guests can enjoy massages and reflexology treatments. There are also Tai Chi classes each morning, and a hair salon to keep travelers looking their very best.
Passengers under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult who is 21 or over. Uniworld notes that most young children do not enjoy the Uniworld experience, and though they are allowed onboard, there are no special activities or arrangements to accommodate them. Uniworld does offer “family cruises” on select itineraries during the Summer months.
There is no information regarding shopping onboard the Victoria Katarina.
Dress onboard is typically resort casual, with the exception of a few formal events which require coat and tie for men and cocktail attire for women.
