Royal Caribbean Monarch of the Seas debuted November 17, 1991 and is one of three Sovereign class cruise ships - Royal Caribbean International’s first “class” of ships. Monarch of the Seas was renovated stern-to-stern in 2003 and now offers some of the popular Royal Caribbean features including a rock-climbing wall and several dining options such as Ben & Jerry's® ice cream, a coffee house featuring Seattle's Best Coffee®, Jade sushi bar and Asian-fusion restaurant, and the Boleros Latin lounge jazz bar. This Royal Caribbean cruise ship also offers guests an oversized spa and fitness center, Adventure Ocean® youth facilities with an enlarged children’s area, and plenty of fun activities and hangouts for teens.
