Royal Caribbean Explorer of the Seas debuted October 28, 2000 and is second in the Voyager class family of cruise ships. Explorer of the Seas is brimming with recreational facilities, as with other Voyager class cruise ships, including an ice skating rink, a rock climbing wall, in-line skating, full-size basketball court, and a Royal Promenade full of shopping, dining and entertainment. Explorer of the Seas is the first cruise ship to have an atmospheric and marine laboratory onboard, offering hands-on experiences for the family. This Royal Caribbean cruise ship also features classic Royal Caribbean International dining options available on many Royal Caribbean cruises such as Johnny Rockets® 50’s-style restaurant and the intimate Portofino Italian Restaurant. Explorer of the Seas departs from her homeport of Cape Liberty located on the New York Harbor in Bayonne, New Jersey and offers guests itineraries to Eastern Caribbean, Southern Caribbean, Bermuda, and New England and Canada.
