Explorer of the Seas - Voyager Family

This cruise ship is so high-tech, it even features the University of Miami Ocean Lab, a state-of-the-art oceanographic and atmospheric science lab.

Main Dining Room
Royal Caribbean's elegant main dining rooms are a great place to start the morning off right or finish off a fabulous day with a five-course meal.

Portofino

Johnny Rockets

Café Promenade
Grab a slice of pizza or a quick sandwich, or enjoy the popular favorites, Seattle's Best Coffee® and on some ships, Ben & Jerry's® ice cream. You'll find Café Promenade in the middle of the action on the Royal Promenade.

Windjammer
Enjoy spectacular buffets and incredible views. The casual convenience of the Windjammer Café and the wide variety on the menu make this restaurant a guest favorite.

Room Service
With so much to do all day, you may just forget to eat. Not a problem. Room service is complimentary for all guests and is available 24 hours a day.

Royal Caribbean International has designed every cabin onboard Explorer of the Seas to be a comfortable, relaxing place for you to rest after your adventures. Royal Caribbean's cabins vary by ship, but every room offers a television, telephone, private bath, shower, vanity and even a hair-dryer.

Relax in luxury in our comfortable suites. Most offer multiple rooms, balconies, and some even offer extras like complimentary concierge service or a baby grand piano.

Balcony

Casino

There's nothing like the sound of cards being shuffled, chips being stacked and slot machines paying off. We consider our Casino RoyaleSM to be a little bit of Vegas, a little bit of Monte Carlo and a lot of Royal Caribbean fun. Explorer of the Seas has games for all levels of players. There are onboard lessons for novice players and tournaments for the more advanced. Casino Royale is open whenever you are sailing, so stop in and try your luck!

Kids

Fun isn't just for adults at Royal Caribbean. Kids from 3-17 are invited to take part in the exciting, complimentary Adventure Ocean® Youth Programs. Adventure Ocean was specially designed to blend educational activities with just plain fun. Every cruise is different. But one thing never changes: your child will get to learn about local customs, do cool science experiments, and make great new friends. To participate in their Adventure Ocean programs or use the onboard pools and whirlpools, children must be three years of age and potty-trained (diaper and pull-up free). And you can feel confident leaving your children with Royal Caribbean because every member of their staff holds a college degree in education or other related field, or has qualified experience in working with children.

Aquanauts Ages 3-5 Years
Potty-trained kids from 3-5 years of age can play games, color, even become Certified Jr. Adventure Scientists.

Explorers Ages 6-8 Years
Kids 6-8 years of age can join parties, compete for prizes, make kites and masks, even learn to make gummy candies.

Voyagers Ages 9-11 Years
Kids 9-11 years of age can take a backstage tour, play List-o-Rama and even learn a new sport like Gagaball.

Navigators Ages 12-14 Years
Navigators 12-14 years of age can play games and sports, join parties and contests, or just hang out at their teen lounge, The Living Room.

Guests Ages 15-17 Years
Teens 15-17 years of age can play games and sports, join parties and contests, hang out at their teen lounge, The Living Room, or dance the night away at Fuel, their teen-only club.

Dress Code

There are three distinct types of evenings onboard: casual, smart casual and formal. Suggested guidelines for these nights are:

Casual: Sport shirts and slacks for men, sundresses or pants for women
Smart Casual: Jackets and ties for men, dresses or pantsuits for women
Formal: Suits and ties or tuxedos for men, cocktail dresses for women

3 to 4-night cruises include one formal night and two or three casual nights.
5 - nights include one formal, one smart casual and three casual nights.
7-night cruises include two formal nights, one smart casual night and four casual nights.
10, 11, and 12-night cruises include two formal nights and three smart casual nights, all other nights are casual.
14 and 15-night cruises include three formal nights and four smart casual nights. All other nights are casual.

Gratuity / Tipping

Tipping - So that you can thank those who have made your cruise vacation better than you could have imagined, they've developed these gratuity guidelines:
Cabin attendant: $3.50 USD a day per guest
Dining Room Waiter: $3.50 USD a day per guest
Assistant Waiter: $2.00 USD a day per guest
Headwaiter: $.75 USD a day per guest

Gratuities for other service personnel are at your discretion. A 15% gratuity will automatically be added to your bar bill or wine check when you are served.

Envelopes for gratuities will be provided in your cabin on the last night of the cruise. Gratuities may be paid in the following ways:
Pre paid by having them added to your reservation by your booking agent.
Added to your onboard SeaPass account.
Paid in cash at the end of the cruise
