Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas is one of six Vision class ships and is sister ship to Grandeur of the Seas. Enchantment of the Seas debuted on July 13, 1997, but received an extensive overhaul in 2005. Not only was this Royal Caribbean cruise ship beautifully refurbished on the inside, but it was also cut in half and lengthened by seventy-three feet – making history as the largest ship to be stretched. This new 80,700 gross ton cruise ship accommodates up to 2,446 guests and is brimming with exciting new features.
Enchantment of the Seas offers four bungee trampolines, a rock-climbing wall, and a beautiful sun deck and expanded pool deck including an interactive Splash Deck and suspension bridges spanning the pool area high above. Enchantment of the Seas also offers alternative restaurants including Chops Grille and Windjammer Café, in addition to Latté-tudes coffee house, Boleros Latin-theme lounge and bar, an open atrium with shops, and a Solarium with indoor/outdoor pool. Royal Caribbean cruises aboard Enchantment of the Seas mainly include itineraries to the Caribbean but can include cruises to the Panama Canal in Panama. Royal Caribbean International has scheduled to homeport her in Baltimore, Maryland starting 2010 and will sail to the Bahamas, Caribbean, and US and Canada.
