To be introduced in 2010, the Holland America Nieuw Amsterdam will be an 86,700 ton ship with a guest capacity of 2,106 and onboard décor which reflects the history and style of New York City. The Nieuw Amsterdam will feature several highlights including the Explorer’s Lounge Bar, the hip Silk Den Lounge, a luxury jewelry boutique, a photo and imaging center, and more. Private cabanas onboard the Nieuw Amsterdam are available for guests to reserve daily, and guests in the new Spa Staterooms can enjoy special spa amenities and more. Kids onboard the Nieuw Amsterdam will benefit from areas devoted just to them such as Club HAL for kids age 3 – 12 and The Loft for teens 13 – 17.
